• Warning Regarding Richmat Motors: Some Richmat motors feature a fork head that looks identical to this one while installed. However, once removed, the diameter of the threaded hole needed for a Richmat motor is much smaller. Also, note that the Golden GM756R motor was replaced by a Richmat motor in newer chairs. You must physically check your motor brand before ordering this fork head.
• Design Warning: Please verify your original fork head is slotted (open on the side). If your fork head looks identical but the opening on the side is closed up/solid, you likely need the GMOKI-13 instead.

Important Note: Lift chairs are designed with plastic fork heads to act as a built-in failsafe. If the mechanism encounters excessive strain or a physical obstruction, the fork head is engineered to break first. This intentional design protects the more expensive motor and the structural frame of your chair from catastrophic damage. If your original fork head broke, and a replacement breaks shortly after installation, this strongly indicates an underlying issue causing extreme motor strain. For example, if your chair is positioned too close to a wall, the motor will strain against that immovable force and snap the fork head. Please check your chair's clearance before operating.

1. Clear Debris: Use needle-nose pliers to carefully spin out and remove any broken plastic pieces remaining down inside the stroke tube. Clean the internal threads thoroughly with a small brush (such as an old toothbrush).
2. Install Fork Head: Screw the new GMOKI-FH2 fork head all the way down into the stroke tube by turning it counter-clockwise (left-handed thread). Do this slowly and carefully to avoid stripping out the plastic threads.
3. Adjust the Stroke Tube (Critical Step): The stroke tube is the aluminum tube that the fork head attaches to. Gently turn the entire stroke tube counter-clockwise down into the actuator until it bottoms out against the gearbox cover.
4. Set the Timing: Once bottomed out, turn the stroke tube back out (clockwise) 1 to 2 full turns so it is not installed too short. This prevents the actuator from retracting too far and over-reclining the chair, which can break the internal spindle nut or snap your newly installed fork head. (Tip: Start with 2 full turns out. If the chair does not recline as flat as it originally did, go back and adjust it to only 1 full turn out.)
