Features & Protections
- Two-Stage Charging:
- Delivers a high current fast charge (8,000mA) until 28.8V is reached, followed by a constant voltage topping charge that tapers off until current is less than 500mA.
- Fully Automatic Operation:
- Safely charges and maintains a full charge, automatically stopping after 20 hours to comply with DOE mandates while actively monitoring the battery with an auto-restart function.
- Short Circuit Protection:
- Prevents damage caused when operating in a short circuit condition. The charger is "self-recovering" once the fault condition is removed.
- Reverse Polarity Protection:
- Prevents damage if positive and negative polarities are connected in reverse.
- Over-Current & Over-Voltage Protection:
- Safeguards the charger from overcurrent demand and protects the batteries from over-voltage damage.
- Low Voltage Protection:
- The charger will not start charging if the battery voltage is below a preset value (9-17V).
Charging Instructions
Note: Short interval charging is acceptable with Lithium-ion batteries and will help the performance and longevity of the battery.
