LED Status Indicators
- Solid Red (Power LED):
- AC Power is connected and ON.
- Solid Red (Charge LED):
- Charging in progress (Rapid or Absorption Phase).
- Solid Green (Charge LED):
- Charging Complete (Float/Maintenance Phase). Battery is ready for use.
- Flashing Red (Fault):
- Error detected. Check for reverse polarity, short circuit, or battery voltage issues.
Operating Instructions
- Select Battery Type: Locate the switch on the charger and set it to match your battery type (AGM or Gel).
- Connect to Device: Plug the 3-Pin connector into the charging port of your mobility device before plugging the charger into the wall outlet.
- Power On: Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet. The Power LED should turn Red.
- Charge Cycle: The Charge LED will turn Red to indicate charging has begun. When the LED turns Green, the charge is complete.
- Disconnect: Unplug the AC cord from the wall first, then disconnect the cable from your device.
Charging Logic & Features
AGM Battery Charge Stages:
- Rapid Charge Phase: Battery charges at 5000 mA current rate until battery voltage of 29.6V is reached.
- Absorption Phase: Battery charges at 29.6V constant voltage and current begins to taper until current is less than 1000 mA.
- Maintenance Float Phase: The charger changes to the float state and holds the battery voltage at 27.3V.
Gel Battery Charge Stages:
- Rapid Charge Phase: Battery charges at 5000 mA current rate until battery voltage of 28.8V is reached.
- Absorption Phase: Battery charges at 28.8V constant voltage and current begins to taper until current is less than 1000 mA.
- Maintenance Float Phase: The charger changes to the float state and holds the battery voltage at 26.7V.
