The new, hand-operated controller for the Golden Technologies chair works perfectly. This OEM remote control replaces the original. Golden Technologies requires that if a chair has problems operating, the FIRST thing that must be done is that the controller be replaced. They won't do anything with regard to customer service until a new controller has been installed. This is because --- in their own words --- the controllers are notorious for going bad. The unit I bought to replace the bad controller is excellent. I suppose the real question is this: why are the remote controllers for the chairs so fragile and unreliable in the first place? And secondly, why doesn't Golden Technologies do something more lasting to keep multi-thousand dollar chairs that are used mostly by disabled, elderly owners more trustworthy and reliable???
