Will this battery pack fit my specific Pride scooter model?
Yes. This assembly is designed as a direct replacement for the Pride Go-Go Sport (Models S73 & S74) and the Pride Go-Go Elite Traveller Plus (Models SC53 & SC54). It replaces OEM part numbers BATASMB1045 and PLSASMB2059.
Does this come fully assembled or do I need to wire it myself?
If you buy this with the "No Batteries" Option then, Yes. If you buy it with batteries, you will recieve a complete, "Plug-and-Play" battery pack. It will come fully assembled with the batteries already installed inside the housing. You do not need to connect any wires. Simply remove your old battery pack from the scooter and drop this new one in.
How do I charge this replacement battery pack?
You can charge this pack exactly the same way you charged your original one. It features the standard XLR charging port located near the handle, allowing you to charge the batteries either while they are on the scooter or off-board (if you prefer to leave the scooter in the car and bring the battery inside to charge).
What is the difference between this and the standard Go-Go battery?
The models this battery pack was made for are not compatible with the smaller (sometimes refered to as "Standard") 12 Ah battery pack. The Go-Go Sport and Elite Traveller Plus require a high-capacity power source to handle their higher weight limits and speed. While standard Go-Go scooters have the option for the smaller 12AH battery pack, Models: S72, S74, SC53, & SC54 do not. This heavy-duty pack contains 18AH batteries (or higher depending on your selection), providing the necessary torque and range for the Sport and Plus models.
How can I tell if my old battery box needs replacing?
If your scooter is losing power quickly, struggling on inclines, or if the battery box itself is physically damaged beyond useability or has heavily corroded contacts, it is time for a replacement. Replacing the entire assembly ensures you have fresh batteries and clean, safe connections for your mobility scooter.
